3 Ways to Use Social Networking For Your Podcast

by Anna Farmery

We are all suffering from social network overload but here are my top 3 tips on how I use it to promote and benefit The Engaging Brand podcast.

1) Create a Facebook account - and use it to discuss ideas with listeners. For instance, I am coming up to my 100th show and want to co-create it with the Facebook group Key purpose: Connecting with Listeners

2) Subscribe to the podcasting groups on yahoo and google - these are great at keeping me up to date with latest technology. Key purpose: Learning and Development

3) Use Linked In to find guests and get introduced to people that would be great for your show. Key purpose: Extending my network of friends

I COULD get overwhelmed with all the different tools. How I control it is by trying a new platform, seeing if it creates more value than a tool I use now - if not don’t carry on, if it does then replace an existing tool. I only have 4 tools that I use at any one time - that way I stay sane…just.
