International Podcast Expo

by Anna Farmery

I gave 2 presentations this weekend at the wonderful on line conference which was organised by Coop World and Penny Haynes.

There were some wonderful presentations by people like Jason Van Orden on how to promote your podcast, Leesa Barnes on Podcasting for Profit, Heather Gorringe on how to use your podcast for successful viral marketing, Elisabeth Lewin on Podcasting in 2006: What We Learned and an intriguing study by Dr. Dennis Mocigemba on International Podcasting.

You will be able to buy CD’s of the event from the website, for anyone looking into podcasting or interested in developing the podcast the investment would be worth it. Or you can get some insight by listening to a series of podcasts with some of the speakers at the blog - International Podcast Expo.

  1. Leesa Barnes Says:

I’m going to listen to the recordings so I can review Jason’s then catch up on yours and Heather’s. Can’t wait to listen to yours as I know that tongue-in-cheek British humour probably kept attendees on the edge of their seat - and laughing the whole time.

  2. Anna Farmery Says:

Leesa - no idea what you mean by my cheeky sense of humor! Heather’s was a great insight into how podcasting can be used for viral marketing - a story full of hope, emotion and of course…profitable business. As you know I waited up especially for your presentation into the early hours of Saturday morning - superb and I will be blogging about it later.

  3. Leesa Barnes Says:

Cheeky sense of humour is a compliment. I shall listen to the recording of Heather’s speech before my deadline to make sure I don’t miss out on including a great case study for my book.

Yes, it was 3am your time by the time I hit the airwaves. Good for you! And you certainly livened up the session. I loved how interactive you were. It was great having a friend there.
