Tip 5 from the International Podcast Expo

Some stats that I found amazing on video podcasting (which is more popular than audio) are
1) 55% of users view podcasts online
2) 45% of users download
3) 7% subscibe to new podcasts
4) You Tube has the highest market share but MySpace has the most visitors.
5) 106.5m people downloaded (about 3 out of 5 of US Internet users) or streamed video during July.

Phew…shows the need for you to make yourself easy to find..more on that tomorrow!

    I have to wonder if YouTube’s percentage has anything to do with the recent sale. Do you know if it’s gone up recently? Down? Stayed consistant for a period of time?

    Not sure about that, but these figures are from pre sale I believe so probably not reflective of the sale.

    Valeca yes, actually it did goes up just after it became Goo-tube :P. Since there was no technical or marketing changes were noticeable.

    1st few days it went down,probably fear of lawsuit or what Google have in mind with new acquisition, then boom. If you are subscriber of MSN money you should have seen Google’s stock price raise also a reason.
